Construction sites can be mayhem, especially when you have multiple contractors working in various areas of your site.  We provide you with a full-time safety professional to keep your site safe by watching out for hazards in your worksite.   They are full-time and present on-site from open to close every day.  Our dedicated safety pros will bridge the communication between your contractors and project managers.  Long term or short term projects, our qualified superintendent will make sure your site is compliant with OSHA and the Department of Buildings.

Current Qualifications

Our competent people are fully licensed and certified by the DOB and OSHA. They are OSHA compliant and hold NYC DOB 62 hour SST cards and have extensive experience working on construction sites and in construction safety. As of March 1, 2021, workers will need 40 hours of awareness training per the New York State Department of Buildings SST.   

Daily Site Safety Logs and Inspections

Our licensed NYC DOB construction superintendents will perform on-site daily inspections, as well as maintain and update the DOB log book.  They will conduct site audits and hazard assessments. 

Site Safety Plans and Compliance Checks

Safety is the name of the game.  Our site supers will confirm that your job site is in full compliance will all of the New York City building codes, as well as OSHA regulations.  Our Licensed Site Safety Managers, Coordinators, and Superintendents will strictly conform to the NYC DOB chapter 33 guidelines.  OSHA Construction Outreach Trainers, together with FDNY Fire Safety Managers also verify your site is safe and compliant 

Site Visit Representation

In the event of a Department of Buildings re-inspection, our construction superintendents will be on-site to communicate with the inspector.

Quality Control/Work Inspection

Our construction supers will verify that the approved plans are being followed to the letter and carried out to the highest standards, to ensure excellent workmanship and that building codes are strictly adhered to.  They have the knowledge to identify mistakes so that they can be remedied before it becomes a huge expense to fix.

Competent Person Designation

We will appoint you with a competent person on your job site and brief them of all the daily specifications of the DOB.  That person will report back to us and keep the lines of communication open. We will provide the signed and notarized competent person letter as required by the DOB.   We can provide a 62 hour SST card competent person if needed. 

Site Documents Verification

Our licensed supers confirm that all workers have their OSHA training credentials and verify that all permits and licenses have been secured, are current, as well as displayed on site.  This includes DOT, DOB, FDNY, and DEP.  We will arrange an organized area to clearly display all permits, plans, site safety plans, superintendent's logbook, fire extinguisher, first aid kit, eyewash station, air horn, etc so that the DOB inspector will be able to easily access all of the information needed upon arrival to your job site. 

DOB Monitoring

Your job will be monitored on the DOB website to ascertain if any complaints have been made.  This gives us the opportunity to make corrections before an inspector visits your site to avoid possible violations.

Industrial Hygiene

We perform a hazard exposure assessment for your site and present solutions to the hazards we identify to protect your employees.  Some of the hygiene services include:

• Personal and area noise monitoring
• Developing an Industrial hygiene program
• Personal and area air monitoring
• Respirator fit testing and training
• OSHA Silica Rule Compliance and Silica Air sampling 
• COVID-19 CDC workplace assessment (see below for more details on our Covid protocols.)

COVID-19 Safety Plan 

During the pandemic, we have all faced new challenges in the workplace, your construction site is not immune, it is important to prevent workplace exposure to Covid-19.  With guidance given by OSHA and the CDC, as well as New York City requirements, we assist you with a safety preparedness plan to protect employees and give you guidance on what to do when someone has symptoms, as well as dictate a COVID-19 Safety Policy for Job Site Entry. We would ensure you are prepared with the proper PPE equipment and proper hygiene practices to prevent exposure to the virus.
